OUR ETHICS
Certified organic since 1995 and biodynamic since 2008. But being satisfied with this is not enough - because we know that we can go further.
Plaisance is therefore committed in a comprehensive manner to the protection of the environment and biodiversity, towards a carbon footprint that is as neutral as possible. If making wine is what drives me the most, my desire to do so with impeccable social and environmental ethics is limitless.
Although there is significant frustration in not being able to instantly achieve, our commitment is sincere, and the objectives have been set. Thank you for your encouragement, your support, which carries us

LPO REFUGE
PROTECT THE NATURE SURROUNDING US
. Birds are our friends. More than 60 species have been recorded on the vineyard, including rare specimens such as the Circaète Jean-Le-Blanc. Observing our environment to better protect them is necessary.
. Creation of "bat'house" (that's the little name we gave them). To bring back bats, we created nesting boxes for them where they can curl up.
. We pay special attention to the eggs of the Lulu Lark, a rare species that likes to lay its eggs among the vines.
REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT BY CHOOSING ECO-RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS
. We have chosen a light bottle made in France (less than 550g/19.4oz), with natural corks. We favor recycled paper and cardboard as well as plant based inks.
.Of course, we sort and recycle all of our waste, and recently have even found a channel for our dead strains.
. We compost all green waste: no more burning!
. Finally, 2021 will be the start of our Carbon footprint audit, in order to lay real foundations for the future.
REFORESTATION AND SOIL PROTECTION PROGRAM.
. Since my arrival in September 2019, we have let the hurdles become what they should be. More than 1700 m of natural hedges have been reborn.
. The grounds are never left bare. We work the inter row to a minimum and use straw to stimulate life of the soil.
PROMOTING EQUALITY
. Our team is fully equal. Respect for everyone regardless of their age, origins or gender identity, is a founding pillar of our company.
. As a member of the womendowine network, advocating gender equality in the wine industry is evident.
OUR NEXT GOALS
. Replant 900 fruit trees (pear trees, almond trees etc ...)
. Creation of a shared vegetable garden for the team
. ZERO CARBON objective
And much more to come!
